Hopefully this will be a useful reference for me and others…
Useful stuff
SwiftKey Keyboard
Let’s be honest, the stock keyboard isn’t amazing. SwiftKey predicts the next word you want, and it learns from your usage, so it can save a lot of time! This is the only app I’ve every paid for, and it was on sale at the time…
SMS Backup+
A very helpful app that silently backs up SMS and MMS messages to your gmail, helpfully sorted with labels. It can even restore them. I quite like being able to search an SMS conversation from my computer…
RealCalc
A killer calculator app, with HEX, OCTAL, extended scientific functions and the ability to keep the screen on whilst in use there is no need for a real calculator any more.
ConnectBot
Pretty much essential if you have access to a server, it will probably save your bacon! With public keys and port forwarding, there’s not much this can’t do.
LCD Density for Root
The low resolution on my wildfire was annoying me, and this is a nice solution to give me more pixels.
WordPress
Very handy to access / post things to any wordpress site, or at least upload a photo to process later.
Widgets and other pointless stuff
Smooth Calendar
A nice widget which shows the next 3 events in your calendar, and looks pretty doing it.
Clockr
A pretty clock widget, tells you the time using words.
Gauge Battery Widget
Snazzy analogue battery capacity widget.
SpeedView
A very nice HUD app, includes some nice features.
